From Venezia to the West Coast

This word has been a constant in my life.

I grew up a few kilometers from Venezia, in a city called Padova, where Galileo conducted his studies regarding the heliocentric theory.
After pursuing my Doctoral degree, I started to work as a Pharmacist in the family business. I soon realized that it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, I had the deep belief that prevention had a major role on health over curing any disease. I do not think there is anything better than exercise and nutrition in order to achieve a long and satisfying life.

A few years later, I graduated again from the University of Milan with an MSc in Human Nutrition, at the same time I joined the excellent Manuel Salvadori and Dr. Valentina Andrulli Bucchieri in vivereinforma team, an Italian company that has the goal of spreading an evidence based approach for the optimization of human life. During those years I found in Manuel a great friend and teacher and lighted my attention on several topics as human microbiome, we still talk every week sharing our point of view on the latest publications or comparing our protocols.

Beside that, I was mentored by Dr. Laurent Bannock, one of the most renowned sports nutritionists in the planet, he taught me his approach and especially the importance of translating data from papers to my everyday work as a performance nutrition consultant.

Starting from 2015 I visited several times the US, especially the Southern California and the New York area.
In 2018 I managed to make my dream come true moving to Los Angeles, California.
Here, I wake up every morning with the blessing of being chosen by some of the toughest athletes in the world as their guide for nutrition, supplementation and recovery.
It does not matter if the goal is qualifying for the Olympics, win a UFC debut or being drafted, everyday is busy and devoted to the pursuit of excellence.

I consider the Mediterranean lifestyle a key factor to longevity and I love being its ambassador in the United States, teaching my athletes and my clients how to cook dishes like homemade pesto!
I like to live according to the principles I teach, for this reason I train consistently in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Cobrinha Academy ( I am a blue belt) and I follow a strength and conditioning protocol that brings me twice a week to the weight room, once to the swimming pool and once to the track.

Kara Kilian, M.S.

Born and raised in the heart of New Jersey, Kara Kilian Lazauskas grew up in a household where athletics and academics were the top priority. At the age of 3 she had her lung removed due to a tumor covering 75% of the left lung. She contests her love for human anatomy and physiology was born from that moment. With her body’s adaption and continuous push both mentally and physically, she was able to gain a scholarship to play at the NCAA level in basketball. However, 4 ACL reconstructions later in her right knee and no real basketball career left in sight, she was left wondering why me? That’s where her purpose began.

This led him to explore the methods to make the human machine work better, learning directly from the greatest experts in the field. He studied the real changes in the laboratory of brain frequencies during meditation through EEG, he analyzed the most common fit-tracker, and schematized all the methods for the development of human performance.
